Past,present and future

I was learning how to add the extension na te mea ( that means because). My favourite part about making this slide show was decorating. What I found easy was making this whole presentation. I was impressed that I could make this whole slide show in forty minutes. Next time I would like to screencastify my slide. Hope you enjoy my presentation.

9 parts of speech

W.A.L.T understand the 9 parts of speech. I found that understanding adverbs was a bit hard but I got it in the end. Next time I would like to make my D.L.O more creative.

Did you know kids sew shoes!

WALT use descriptive words and phrases to enhance the mood of fear or sadness. I think I achieved this because I used descriptive words. What I liked about this was that I was writing from someone else perspective. Next time I will try to make up my own descriptive words because the ones that I used were made by our teacher. I hope you enjoy my story.

At work making Nike shoes

On another Sunday morning I rolled my eyes back into my head ; then I headed to the factory. Ohh I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Maria. Back to the story. It was four am and I was walking into the factory. My job is not the best. I make shoes for the Nike company in Costa Rica.

I had just arrived into the factory. The boss was standing right by me. Fear ran down me like the chill of an icy wind. “Get to your station number one hundred and eight, now!” George fiercely growled ( George is the boss) “Yes sir” I said with fear. I quickly ran to my station and started working.  All our stations have numbers because our boss George doesn't remember our names.
Hours later I was  finishing off my last shoe the buzzer went off for lunch. I said, “Finally, i'm starving!” I lined up to receive my stale bowl of rice. We always have rice. I was sitting on the dirt with my friend Eleni. Sitting on the dirt we could smell the stench of the nearby pile of rubbish; the factory fumes irritated my eyes. We barely had time to touch our food. Then we heard the buzzer to return back to work. We walked back into the factory.
Walking back into the factory the heat hit me the moment I stepped into the factory. In front of me I saw millions of kids crammed into the factory sewing Nike shoes. I had been working for hours my hands were so tired and I smelt a putrid smell of glue. My friend Eleni and I were talking about cool places we would go to if we ever got out like: Rainbows End, arcades and so much more and then Boom! she fainted.  I said, “Wake up!,wake up!” a few minutes later she woke. “Lucky,” I said with relief. A few times when I was working at the sewing machine I kept falling asleep and I almost cut my hand off. My stomach started rumbling. While working I fantasised of delicious food like: pizza, chocolate, cupcakes, chips, fruit and so much more.
Finally it was midnight and I could rest up.  I was so exhausted I couldn’t carry on. I went to my closet waiting for my boss George to come with my pay. Knock! Knock! “number one hundred and eight your pay” George shouted. I quickly opened the door, I said, “Sir” I counted the money and I had one thousand mil colones in US dollars that would be one dollar and seventy eight cents all together “Yes” I excitingly said. But I still had disappointment since  tomorrow would exactly be the same. “At least i'm getting paid right” I thought.
