Prom Queen or Not?

WALT independently improve our work by adding interesting language to enhance the mood we are trying to create. We are also learning to check that we have used complex punctuation correctly. I know I was successful because I used complex punctuation in my speech and used figurative language. My next step is to try and add more complexity in my ideas.

Prom Queen or Not?
There I was lying on my bed it felt like time was standing still. I was bored out of my mind. Daydreaming of myself on a roller coaster. At the tip of my ear I could hear someone talking to me.  I looked up and saw my aunty, “ Do you want to help me prepare for my prom?” she said. Immediately, I replied saying, “ I would love to”. Minutes later we arrived at the school,“Bye mum bye dad”. I glanced at the school and then looked back BAM the car had vanished. I was petrified. Where did it go?

BANG! BANG! BANG! we were knocking on the door for hours. Emma finally came to the rescue and opened the door. My eyes were drawn to a tremendous vine with magnificent flowers added onto It. I felt  like I was in an enchanted forest. We started getting into work I was hot glue gunning the beautiful flowers onto the vines and then a disaster hit - We were we were out of glue sticks. Sadly we had no more decorations to finish off. So we had to go to the hall where they were having the ball.

We were soldiers marching to the hall they were all ahead of me I looked at the humongous school thinking to myself ,“ Hopefully I don’t get lost when I come to this school”. I refocused and they had vanished. What was going on? My heart was thumping so fast that I couldn't even breath. I was lost in a maze with no way out. I followed my instincts and I made it to the hall. Just as I was walking in I could hear scratching on the floor. I was so afraid. What could it be? I was a spy on a mission and my mission was to find out what was in the hall. I quietly said, “On three” I said to myself 1 2 3 I ran in and it was just my aunty stacking the chairs up. I was so pleased. Going back to the day I still wonder where the car went. I looked back at my phone and I had missed thousands of calls from my mum “Oh no!” I gasped. Just as we were walking out of the school I could see a silver truck. I ran as quick as lightning. It was my mum and dad. The stress that I had just flew away.

The day sadly had to end I had so much fun. I had a sensational day but also a frightening day. I will never ever ever forget the day I helped my aunty prepare for the prom.
